RP Style Questionnaire

This form is optional--you may skip or delete any questions. To fill out your own, find the code here.

Before getting to the questions, please know that with me nothing is set in stone. I can adapt my play style as appropriate, I'm always open to discussion, and I absolutely adore constructive criticism.

ALSO! ALSO ALSO! If you ever for any reason no longer feel like continuing a thread or plot or any other development we have going, please talk to me! I'll be happy to see what we can do to change things up, and if it just doesn't work then I have absolutely no qualms about dropping or nulling the matter. I believe RP should always be fun, and I want to make sure everyone I play with has the best experience possible!

What are your favorite types of characters to play?
I don't have a particularly favorite type. What I make and feel like playing depends on what strikes and inspires me. Though I do have mostly younger characters, I have a special place in my heart for middle aged male characters. Also you can tell by my plotter that I favor playing men in general.

What are your favorite types of plots or relationships in RP?
I enjoy smaller more personal plots as opposed to joining any huge sweeping story lines. I enjoy exploring the dynamic of relationships - whether they're romantic, friendly, or familial. I also loooove putting my characters through all sorts of hell.

What's your preferred post length? Preferred thread length?
I don't hold myself or anyone else to any particular post length. Sometimes I only feel up to two or three sentences, and sometimes I write an essay. As long as everyone involved is giving enough for everyone to work with and continue the thread with, I'm happy.

As for thread length, it depends on the sort of thread. Sometimes all you need is five or six posts, sometimes it's five or six pages. As long as the story gets told, I'm cool with whatever length happens.

How often do you post?
As of late it's been taking me up to anywhere from 1-3 weeks for some posts, though others I can do multiple posts in in a day. It depends on what strikes me, and is not at all personal.

How long should a writing partner wait before nudging you to respond to a thread?
Please don't nudge me for posts beyond a playful 'tag' in rapidfire. I keep track of my bookmarks and know what I owe. I will respond when I am able to respond. I also make a point of not nudging others for responses. It's just a game, no need to put pressure on anyone.

How do you feel about rapidfire?
I am down for rapidfire if the mood strikes me. It's not something I can do on a regular basis though.

How do you feel about group threads?
I like group threads as long as people stick to the proper order. And anything with more than like 4 people is a little daunting for me.

How much pre-planning vs. spontaneity do you like in your plots? Do you prefer to stick to the script or to deal with surprise curveballs?
I find that this varies depending on the player I'm working with. I have some storylines with several pre-plotted points. Other threads I'm just playing fast and loose with. I understand a lot of people don't like to pre-plan friendships or ships or anything like that, and I can respect and work with that.

What's your comfort level regarding graphic scenes w/ violence, drug use, sex, etc? Any limits?
I am comfortable going to the absolute extremes with violence. I have no issues with drug use. I'll RP out graphic smut without hesitation. However, my main limits are graphic harm to minors and drugged non-con scenes.

What are some RP habits/styles/etc. that you love?
I love delving into characters' thoughts and feelings, and I love when my RP partner does the same. I trust that people are smart enough to not respond to internal monologue.

What are some RP habits/styles/etc. that you avoid?
Using smilies/emoticons/emojis in a post is absolutely irritating to me. I also stay away from putting any OOC text in a post unless absolutely necessary. I mean I'm not going to tell someone how to RP, that's just how I feel on the matter.

Is there anything else you'd like your writing partners to know about you?
I am not the most vocal person on the site, but I am always open to communication. If I don't catch a PM in the cbox, shoot me a message and I'll try to get back to you ASAP.

DRARRY: Who tops?
Harry. No switching.
