RP Style Questionnaire

What are your favorite types of characters to play?
Ooo, so many types. I think I tend to go for the types that are a little bit damaged, those tortured souls. I like to get analytical and introspective and feelsy. I also enjoy writing people with a lot of weaknesses, insecurities, awkwardness, etc. But don't get me wrong, I love writing a character with a great sense of humor or a really dry, sarcastic wit. Badass characters are a little difficult for this Flufflepuff, so I tend to go for what I know.

What are your favorite types of plots or relationships in RP?
I honestly love it all. I'm always down for any sort, but I have to say that I love messy, complicated relationships. Unbalanced relationships are some of my favorites, like blurred feelings and unrequited love. Also, I'd rather see what develops in play than pre-arrange everything. Plotting is always a good thing, but I think it's best when left open to the interpretation of the characters involved.

What's your preferred post length? Preferred thread length?
My posts are going to generally be between the 1-3 paragraph length, and I don't care how long a thread is. It depends on what the goal is, really. I have nothing against a short encounter, and nothing against a thread that takes its time, as long as it remains engaging and purposeful.

How often do you post?
I'll be posting daily, if not multiple times per day. ^^

How long should a writing partner wait before nudging you to respond to a thread?
Seriously, nudge me anytime. Don't ever worry about bothering me.

How do you feel about rapidfire?
This is the part where I say I've never rapidfire'd. But yeah, bring it on.

How do you feel about group threads?
Yes, please!

How much pre-planning vs. spontaneity do you like in your plots? Do you prefer to stick to the script or to deal with surprise curveballs?
Again, I like a mixture. Usually, I'll plan to some extent but I don't like every move planned out for me. Spontaneity is never a problem. I love surprises.

What's your comfort level regarding graphic scenes w/ violence, drug use, sex, etc? Any limits?
To be real, I don't love writing graphic sex scenes. I don't mind writing sex, but I usually skim over the details when it comes down to the deed. I also stray from writing content that resembles sexual abuse. I'm a lightweight. I know this.

What are some RP habits/styles/etc. that you love?
Being real. Not everything is going to go perfectly in life, and I love it when a thread has a good dose of reality to it. Sometimes you're going to have a misstep, a misinterpretation, a word-vomit. I love all things realistic and imperfect and consistent-to-character.

Natural Development. I love to let relationships develop organically in-play.

Steering. I love when a thread has purpose and direction. It doesn't necessarily need to start with a solid plan of where it's going, but it needs to go somewhere.

What are some RP habits/styles/etc. that you avoid?

Metagaming. This is probably my biggest pet peeve. No OOC info should ever be brought into IC unless the players involved have discussed it first.

Mary Sue. Flaws are a thing. Nobody is the best at everything they attempt. Moreover, flaws are fun to write.

Is there anything else you'd like your writing partners to know about you?
Feel free to message me anytime. I'd love to plot with you!

DRARRY: Who tops?
Neither :P
